andor's jb

The Andor's Jazz Band was founded in 1978 and has focused on the hot dance music of the twenties and early thirties ever since. The band plays both original and new arrangements and recreates the feel of the era by playing not only with rare enthusiasm but without any amplification apart from using a mike for the vocals and announcements.

The band has giver numerous concerts at festivals and in jazz clubs, theatres, their performances have been broadcast in radios and televisions not only in the Netherlands but throughout Europe as they frequently play in Germany, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, France, the UK and Italy.

The band consists of ten carefully selected top musicians, most of whom are multi-instrumentalists. Their band's repertoire includes the tunes of such great early bands of the "Golden Twenties" as the orchestras of Fletcher Henderson, Duke Ellington, Coon/Sanders Nighthawks etc.
