10th Avenue Band

The 10th Avenue Band makes music the old fashioned way, and the new fashioned way as well. It takes the drive of great arrangements combined with the spirit of fun that gives Ed Zimbrick's band the high praise it has received from literally all over the world. From England to Australia and from China to Mexico the band has consistently rated accolades from the festivals and clubs in which it performs. Audiences are often surprised to hear such a variety of styles that are played in a single set. The band simply swings, rocks and cooks! Ed Zimbrick's vocals, virtuosity on the trombone and his innovative band arrangements are the foundation of the sound. The piano features by Charlie Clark are always a high point in the sets and his exceptional technique dazzles everyone. The sidemen are seasoned professional players that love to play and travel.

Always looking to the future, the band's performances include old music done in new ways, giving new life to the great songs of the past. Having the capability of playing an evening of swing, standards, Latin, even waltzes comfortably, the band can spend the next few sets playing triad jazz, light rock, country and even a rap version of "Dr. Jazz".

While other bands relive the past through their sets, the 10th Avenue band strives through new artistic arrangements to be the leader by incorporating the present with the past.
